Communication each side of the debate equally, occasionally through both the antagonist and the protagonist, may specify the theme with additional impact. In Les Misérables, our milder side may adhere with Jean Valjean, but we also see the righteousness in Inspector Javert.
Use your experiences to create the story come to life. If you’ve been hurt, write it down. If you have been scared, write it down. If you have ever been in love, fooled, overjoyed, given birth, buried a puppy, been in an accident, conduct a race, or had your heart broken, write it down. All these are the things that can make your story worth reading regardless of what it is about. Using your creativity doesn’t mean you make up everything from scratch. Just ask yourself “what if” and plug into your personal experiences. This is exactly what keeps the readers engaged , and turning page after page. Be yourself and continue writing.
Here we have some similarity with the digital reality of the modern computer technologies, which is an artificial environment created by applications. It is introduced to the viewer in this manner that the individual temporarily suspends own opinion pattern and takes it as a real environment. In ways it isn’t different from the phenomenon of being transported to the imagined world of fiction, except the computer performing the job is in mind and we don’t have any clue as to what is the software and who is the programmer.
Let us start with Tripmaster Monkey. Kingston’s novel is astoundingly erudite, and her erudition is mainly responsible for what worries me here. How so? Only this – the first chapter (I’m using the first paperback Vintage variant of July, 1990) runs from page three to page thirty five. In that space I count forty references to literature or cinema. (The remainder of the book is much the same, although maybe not in quite so high a ratio.) I will list some of them shortly for purposes such as.
Character development can be one of the most important things about writing fiction. You want to create a realistic group of personalities to move your plot along and to do this you need to understand them. But how much can you really have to know about these before you start writing?
As an example, if we take Charles Dkens’s “A Tale of Two Cities” the main identifying theme may take the kind of this question: Can one sacrifice his life for the one he loves? In the exact same story, many smaller themes are interwoven as well, like life and death, resurrection, revolution, religion and sin, war and peace, and power or abuse of power, because many works of fiction carry several encouraging themes that wrap around the main theme. While this is all relevant to your discovery, a few items about article hold more weight than others. What is more critical for you may be much less so for others, so you have to consider your unique conditions. As you realize, there is much more to the story than what is available here. The final half of the article will offer you more solid info about this.
Some of these tips really are critical to your understanding, and there is even more going further than what is about to be covered.
It is not merely a philosophical point either. We invest a substantial part of our life in the fictional world. We muse about the things in long run and also dwell over the prior imagining what might have been. The creativity about the future is dependent on our hopes and ambitions and also to some extent it’s a positive in the sense we’re in a position to mold our future if we sincerely attempt. But musing over the past is a futile exercise because we all know for a fact that ‘what might have been’ is only fantasy that never happened. Nevertheless it serves the exact same function as fiction from the point of view of amusement. We amuse ourselves by imagining how life would have been, knowing fully well that it has no reality whatsoever. In a metaphorical sense ago, at least the remote past, is fiction. At a particular sense history itself is fiction as it always includes the subjective bias of the writer. What we understand of Buddha and Jesus now is more fiction than facts.
Another frequent technique is hinting in the subject in the dialogue, however, the risk here is in getting too obvious. Even though this might be done successfully by an experienced writer, the beginning writer should attempt and avoid blurting out the theme through the dialog.
Theme is the reason fiction matters, because it’s the quality that gives the narrative a universal appeal. Some state motif is exactly what the story is all about, but that’s too ephemeral a definition, which may get confused with all the idea or the plot.
Well, that depends on the kind of story you’re writing. The period of your narrative will dictate the quantity of character information you’ll need to create them come to life. For simplicity’s sake, I have broken my personality sheet down into what I use for each kind of writing. Your character sheets might vary. There are different approaches you can follow when storytelling.
I wrote a brief story called “Shooting Goliath” as a realistic story of what happened to me when I fell off a waterfall. BUT I have a scene in my own time travel adventure where my main character jumps off a waterfall to grab somebody else’s attention. Now I understand that is fiction… because I am scared of heights, but I’ve had the experience which makes that section believable. I have a character in that book that dropped their spouse after 30 years, and it has also happened to me. My story is based on the concept that you can not help others in the event that you can not help yourself. Every character has doubts and fears to overcome before they can finish their assignments. I concentrate on what I do know, not to what I don’t.
The reader is required to understand that the character evidently does not understand that the subject of Philosophy is broken down into several subdivisions; she signed up for a course in Mathematical Logic, a la Gottlob Frege, when what she wanted was a course in Ethics. But if the reader does not know this, or doesn’t have the capacity to research it, then the whole passage will be hieroglyphics. This is what I mean by Fiction Enhanceable by Internet – the job becomes more interesting, clear, enjoyable, and appreciable.
